ORDIANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SPECIAL REVENUE
FUND FOR THE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH
AIDS ( HOPWA) GRANT RECEIVED FROM TARRANT COUNTY AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT
ACCEPTING SAME, FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health District has received
an offer of renewal funding for the HOPWA grant from Tarrant County, and
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Health District and Tarrant County
desire to enter into a contract for certain public health services, and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
adoption of the FY 2003 -2004 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
S ECTIO N 1. There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $43,664
for the HOPWA grant, and the City Manager is authorized to enter into contract with
Tarrant County for the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health District.
SEC 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
