ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE HOTEUMOTEL
FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF $15,000 FOR FIREWORKS TO BE USED
AT A FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION AT SHEPPARD AIR FORCE
BASE, FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Wichita Falls recognizes the
importance of partnering with local business and Sheppard Air Force Base; and
WHEREAS, The aforementioned groups wish to provide a fireworks display in
conjunction with a larger 4' of July celebration at Sheppard Air Force Base; and
WHEREAS, Such event will provide a tourism benefit to the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SECTION 1. An appropriation in the amount of $15,000 from the Hotel /Motel
fund is necessary and appropriate to provide funds for fireworks at a Fourth of July
Celebration at Sheppard Air Force Base.
S ECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
