ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, REZONING APPROXIMATELY 30 ACRES OUT OF THE
A. R. COLLINS SURVEY, ABSTRACT 414, FROM SINGLE FAMILY -1
AND HEAVY INDUSTRIAL TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL ZONING, AND
AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN TO CONFORM TO THE REZONING;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and & Zoning Commission has recommended rezoning
of the above referenced property and also has recommended amending the Land Use
Plan to conform to such change; and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with this recommendation and finds that
the herein described rezoning and Land Use Plan amendment is in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT
SE CTION 1 . The City of Wichita Falls Land Use Plan, an element of the
Comprehensive Plan for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas is hereby amended for
approximately 30 Acres out of the A. R. Collins Survey, Abstract 414, as shown on the
attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "A." Said property
designations shall be changed from Low Density Residential and Industrial to
Commercial.
SE CTION 2 . Said property, being the same as described in Section 1, is hereby
zoned General Commercial.
SE CTION 3 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
