ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDS FROM THE U.S.
DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, OFFICE=: OF DOMESTIC
PREPAREDNESS, FOR THE 2004 STATE HOMELANI:> SECURITY LAW
ENFORCEMENT TERRORISM PREVENTION PROGRAM (LETPP) AND
MAKING BUDGETARY APPROPRIATIONS IN THE SPECIAL REVENUE
FUND OF THE CITY; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City has been notified that it has been awarded a total of
$53,550 for the 2004 State Homeland Security Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention
Program (LETPP); and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Wichita Falls desires to accept this grant and
make appropriations to the City's budget for expenditure of these grant funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BF_ IT ORDAINED BY THE_ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The City hereby accepts the 2004 State Homeland Security Law
Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program (LETPP) Grant in the amount of $53,550
and makes budgetary appropriations in the Special Revenue Fund of the City to
account for these expenditures.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
