ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, REZONING 1519 & 1521 ELIZABETH AVENUE; AND
1601, 1603, 1605 & 1607 GRACE STREET, AND THE ALLEY RIGHT -OF
WAY ADJACENT TO 1607 GRACE AND 1519 ELIZABETH, CHANGING
THE ZONING FROM SINGLE FAMILY -2 TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL
AND AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN TO CONFORM TO THIS
REZONING ; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and & Zoning Commission has recommended rezoning
of the above referenced properties and also has recommended amending the Land Use
Plan to conform to such change; and
WHEREAS, the City Council concurs with this recommendation and finds that
the herein described rezoning and Land Use Plan amendment is in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SE CTION 1 . The City of Wichita Falls Land Use Plan, an element of the
Comprehensive Plan for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas is hereby amended for 1519 &
1521 Elizabeth Avenue, and 1601, 1603, 1605 & 1607 Grace Street, and the alley right -
of way adjacent to 1607 Grace and 1519 Elizabeth; said properties also being
described as Lots 13, 14, 15 & 16, and alley adjacent to said lots, Block 6, Spivey
Addition; as shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment
"A." Said property designation on the Land Use Plan shall be changed from Low
Density Residential to Commercial.
SECTION 2 . Said property, being the same as described in Section 1, is hereby
zoned General Commercial.
SECTION 3 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
