ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE
FY 2004 LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT AND TO
APPROPRIATE $29,982.00 IN THE SPECIAL REVENUE FUND OF THE
CITY, FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH
THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The City has been awarded $29,982.00 from the FY 2004 Local
Law Enforcement Block Grant of which $26,984.00 is federal monies and $2,998.00
(10 %) is a cash match which will come from the Department's forfeiture fund; and
WHEREAS, An advisory committee made up of members of the community, as
required by LLEBG policies, has met and agreed that the grant proceeds should be
spent to acquire additional in -car video systems for the Police Department's marked
patrol units.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is authorized to accept the FY 2004 Local Law
Enforcment Block Grant in the amount of $29,982.00 and such monies shall be
appropriated into the Special Revenue Fund of the City
SECTION 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
