RESOLUTION NO. 78-2010
Resolution Awarding Bid For Asbestos Abatement Of Hazardous
Structures To Empire Environmental Group, L.L.C., In The Amount Of
$59,972.00.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
asbestos abatement of 13 hazardous structures, and bids were received and publicly
opened on June 9, 2010; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to have 13 structures abated prior to
demolition; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the low bids were submitted by the overall low
bidder described in the attached Bid Tabulation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. The bid for asbestos abatement of 13 hazardous structures is awarded to the
overall low bidder, Empire Environmental Group, L.L.C., in the amount of $59,972.00, in
accordance with the attached Bid Tabulation. City staff is authorized to execute all
documents necessary to obtain said services with the low bidder(s) described in said
tabulation.
2. If any bidders fail to execute contracts for the asbestos abatement as awarded
herein, City staff are authorized to execute contracts for asbestos abatement with the
next lowest bidder(s) for these properties, as described in the attached Bid Tabulation.
