ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, REMOVING THE STRUCTURE AT 925 LAMAR STREET AS A
WICHITA FALLS LANDMARK; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Landmark Commission of the City of Wchita Falls, has
recommended that the structure located at 925 Lamar Street, Wichita Falls, Texas, be
removed from the local landmark listing; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT;
SE CTION 1 . Chapter 62, Adicle J. Section 62 -5. Designated landmarks and
districts, Code of Ordinances, Wichita Falls, Texas, is hereby amended to remove the
following listing'
"(26) The Marchman Building. located at 825 Lamar Street, Wichita Falls, Texas,
further known as Lots 8 through 11, Block 184, Original Townsite, is hereby designated
as a Wichita Falls Landmark."
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that fine meeting at which
this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
