Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Apply For And Accept A
State Of Good Repair Initiative Grant From The Federal Transit
Administration Under The Fiscal Year 2010 Discretionary Bus And
Bus Facilities Program To Purchase Two 35-Foot, Low-Floor Transit
Buses
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has identified the need for the replacement
of two of its transit buses; and
WHEREAS, partial funding for this project may be available through the Federal
Transit Administration under the State of Good Repair Initiative grant program in an
amount requested of $592,000, or 80% of the total project cost, subject to a 20% local
match.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to
pursue, apply for, and accept a State of Good Repair Initiative grant from the Federal
Transit Administration, under the Fiscal Year 2010 Discretionary Bus and Bus Facilities
program, for the purchase of two 35-foot, low-floor transit buses.
