ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT
$1 992.00 IN GRANT FUNDS FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF
STATE HEALTH SERVICES FOR THE PURCHASE OF 36 TEXT
BOOKS TITLED BRADY EMERGENCY CARE, 10 EDITION; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, State and Federal mandates are requiring more diverse. response
capabilities from fire departments, and.
WHEREAS, the Women Falls Fire Department has a need to improve its training
capabilities B it is to meet these needs, and
WHEREAS. the Emergency Medical information available in the new text books
will benefitthe members of the department and the citizens and visitors to Wichita Falls:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT.
S ECTION 1 . That the City Manager be authorized to accept from Texas
Department of State Health Services $1,992.00 for the purchase of 36 Brady
Emergency Care, 1 O Edition text books with instructor support materials.
SECTIO 2 . It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
