IV. REGULAR AGENDA
1. Municipal Airport
• Staff report on Terminal Project: Ms. Morris (Weddle)
reported that during a meeting with the FAA southwest
region's Director of Airport Operations, it was clear that non
hub terminals would be high on their priority list for funding
next year. Furthermore, Wichita Falls Municipal Airport
terminal building is on FAA's radar due to the age and
condition of this facility. It was also communicated that
"shovel ready" design plans are essential for consideration.
The next step in this process is to develop those plans.
• Staff report on Runway 17/35 Rehabilitation Project, Phase
1 — Ms. Morris reported that Phase I construction was
moving along very nicely. The first test strips of asphalt will
be laid within the next two weeks. There are no anticipated
delays for this project to date.
2. Kickapoo Downtown Airport
• Staff report on Fuel Farm/Apron Expansion and Rehab
Project — Ms. Morris reported that the ALP updates have
been approved, and Phase I of this project will go out for
bid in November 2010.
• Status of dirt/asphalt piles south of Kickapoo — Mrs.
Johnson reported that she had begun coordination with
other city departments to obtain the equipment and
manpower needed to remove the debris.
3. Other Aviation Items
• Ms. Morris introduced Mrs. Sarah Johnson as the new
Airports Administrator. Mrs. Johnson mentioned she had
recently separated from the USAF after nine years of
service as an aircraft maintenance officer. She also
