Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Professional
Services Agreement with Freese & Nichols, Inc. for Transit Oriented
Development Planning associated with the Clarence Muehlberger
Travel Center, in an estimated amount of $94,000
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls desires professional services to be
performed in conjunction with transit oriented development strategies in the vicinity of
the Clarence Muehlberger Travel Center; and,
WHEREAS, the Federal Transit Administration will fund 80% of the cost of these
services and the local match will be 20% of the attached agreement; and,
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Public Transportation Division will request
assistance from the Texas Department of Transportation for Transportation
Development Credits to assist with the City's 20% local match; and,
WHEREAS, Freese & Nichols, Inc. proposes to provide these services at an
estimated cost of$94,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute the attached professional services
agreement, with changes thereto in a form approved by the City Attorney, in an
estimated amount of$94,000.
