to construct within 30 days, after the,. gra.de9 has been established, by
the City, within the City limits of Wichita Falls, Texas, at least
five miles _of iron pater mains, pipes and distrubutaries of the dimen-
sions of. four, six, eight and ten inches, which shall be laid by them

purposes of distributinkc!, the water in the City of Wichita Falls, and
said mains, pipes and didtributaries shall be connected wit4 said pumjr

Sea, 4 The said Lasker, his associates and their assigns shall
lair and extend their mains and pipes, for carrying such water to any
part of Wichita: Falls, When requested in writing by the resident cit-
izens of the particular locality; provided the water tolls of such
t3�e=wtar e3�-- ►e citizens for domestic purposed!and for sprinkling
their yards shall be equal for one year to' "5 percent of the cost of
such exterrcion, and provided further, that such citizens shall first
enter into contract with said Lakker, his associates and their assigns
to pay for *titer on said basis for one year. The conditions existing so
above stated, the City Council may, if said Laker, his associates and
their, assigns fail to crake suco extension within a reasonable time: requ
ire them to do so by resolutions paBsed by the City Council. This pro-
vision is Inserted that the resident citizens in any eattlod portion of
Wi.chi.ta. Falls, may secure the extensions of ,raater mains, and a:, a. pro-
tection to M . Lasker, his associates and th sir assigns from be tng re-
quired to extend their mains to unsettled portions of th . City.
Seec. 5. It is hereby ordained, that' the following tariff of rates
shall be and is hereby established for the goverment and protection of
said Lasker, his associates and their assigns- and for the govc,rment
and protection of th, City and citizens of Wichita Falls, Texas.

charge any cdnnsumer more that the following maximum. mites:
The consumer a i'ng &iil.y 10j000 gallons of water or less, 25 cent
per thousand gallons.
The consumer using daily more than lOjOOO gallons of water, or as

These charges shall be made and based on daily congumption, and

ing the gutfers and sewer of the City, not exceeding 10' JOB* cents per
thousand gallons of water.

Sec. 6. The water delivered to con,,.nimers shall be meaour,--d through

his associates and their assigns shall h9ve the right to agree with
their customers on any other basis of meaourment , or method of determin-
ing the value of the water delivered.
Sec. - 7. All tape and connection for the convenience or benifit of
consumers shall be made by the waterworks company , but Pt the cost of
the party to be benifited, provided however, it shall be done ar actual

RATES of VfATER in CERTAIN INSTANCES:
Be it Ordained by the City Council of th.r '"ity of Wichita Falls,
Texas:
Sec. 1, The rate Eft the use; of viater in the City of Wichita Falle
shall except as heretn�:,fter specifically provided be and r main as now
provided by the existing contract between the said City and the Water
and Light Company, who are the assigns and sucoescofs of M. Lasker and
his asoociates .
Sec. S. All water consumers in the City of Tiehita Falls may at
their own expense install a water meter of any standard make on their
service pipe sufficient to measure the water used by such consumer ,
and ouch consumer shn..11 only be charged the ,water rates provided by
present
theAcontract with the beater and Light Company above referred to and such
water consumer shall also keel; such meter in repair. If any writer con--
sumcr wh000 dem-indo dogs not requite a meter larger than a five-eights
meter shall fail upon request of the Water Company within thirty days
to install a meter, then the WateYa.nd Light Company may at its own
expe;nsd install a meter for' such o&nsumer, and the said cone'limer shall
Pay for such meter a Monthly rental of twenty-five; cents per month
