Power Company to sell th the Wichita Falls Electric Company and the
Wichita Fall,,' Electric Comapny to puro age the physical properties
of ,and belongin* to the said Citizens Light and. knower Company, re-
qui,rementss, conditions, limitations, emergency.
WHEREAS, at an election held for that pu osso on
the 20th day of November, 1915, a majority of the qualified voters
voting at Bald election, authorized and empowered she Citizens*
light & Power Comp y 1P sell to tl Wichita Falls Electric Company,,
and theWi c hits Falls Mes otrio Compssnv to purchase from the Citizens t
Light & Power Company the physical properties of and belonging to
the said Citizonal Light & Power Company by a vote of 464 in, support
of ss i.d sale and purchase to a vote of 196 against said sale anti
purchase,
TBEWORE be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen
of the City of Wichita Palls, Texas,
Sec. 1. That the Citizens' Light & Power Compssn
a publi,o service corporation, holding a franchise granted to i
by the City of Wichita Falls; and engaged in the business of msnu-
faotu.ring and selling electricity for 11 htin.g fuel and power pur-
posevo be and is hereby empowered to self and 46liVer to the Wichita
Falls, Electrio Compare ,, a Public Servie, o Corporation, holding a
franchise granted to i by theCity of Wichita .Falls, Texas, and en-
gage the business of sufaaturing and selling 6 ectribity for
lighi ,
, hoating and power purposes, al the physical propertt s
Ownei.163A. operated or used by said Citizens' Light & Power Co,
in the oorporatb limits of the City of vijohit�. Falls, Texas, and
that; said Wichita Palle Electric Company be and in hereby author-
ize3d =4 ompowered to purshasf and omil all such properties.
Secs. 2. That I* be further ordained that the
Wichita Falls Electric do any be amd is hereby charged with the
burden Lord obligation to hold and saav(- the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
free.. ol,ear and harmless. from any actions, suits or claims for dam-
ages with have or may ts,e by reason of any of such physical pro-
perties, or the wrongful construction of maintenance of satps, and
that n the event of suit because thereof, the said comprsny *111 at
its o*i cost and expenses defend same and pay off any final JuAgemen't

Sec. Z• Be it further ordained that tx,,e said
Wichita Falls Electric Company be and is hereby required to fur-
nidh th+eCi.'ty Elbotricity for lights and fans in theCity Bali, and
Fire Station free of ohar ag not to exoeeed however. eleotrio ty suf-
fiaie nt for forty thirty-two candle power indandesoont light s,
burning six hours a day,
Soo, 4, Best it further ordained that the said
Wichita Pall,ss fElootrio Company be and Is hereby required to surf. .
render and deliver and request that the sr-i.id franchise, heretofore
granted to the Citizens' Light & rower Company, be oanoeslled, re-
voked and annulled, or cause same to be done.
Sec. 6, Be; it further ordained that this ordinance
beo-mrEe and be of effect upon the delivery tf the ward of Adermen
of the writ4e>en and duly exocut+ed acceptance of the terms and tequirs-
mentss hereof by the said. WiahijaPallo Electri.o Company PROVIDED,
such acceptance must be filed within not less than thirty ( ) days
from datd of passage hereof.
