Section 1; There shall be levied and collected an annual
ad valorerz tax of 45 cents on each one hundred dollars of the assess-
ed vo.lue of all. property within t-le lirnits of The City of ?'+ichi to
Falls, Texas, subject to taxation for State and County purposes;
such tax s'r,.all be levied and collected for current expenses and for
general improvement of the City and its property to -be 1-Mown as the
General Fund and of which at least 5 cents of each one hundred
dollars valuation thereof shall be devoted to the payment of current
expenses for , iaintaininf; and beautifying; public parks and cemeteries
�':Tithin or without the City, belon in" to the City; said fund clay be
used for improving- the parking- along eit'«er side of any street in
The City of Wichita Falls, Texas;
SECTIOIT 2; There shall be levied and collected for t?:e
purpose of creatin- a sinking fund for t'-1e redemption of bonds
_21heretofore or hereafter leg-ally issued for purposes of street im-
proveo.ent, public, building;s and sewerage an annual ad valoreri tax
of nine (9) cuts on each one hundred dollars of the cash valuation
thereof on all taxable property of the City of cfichita Falls, Texas,
of the character set out above under Section 1 of this ordinance..
SE CTIO11' 3: TT.ere shall be levied and collected for the
purpose of payinE-, interest on bonds heretofore or hereafter legally
issued for purposes of street improvement, public buildings and
sewerag-e an annual ad valorem tax of sixteen (16) cents on each
one hundred dollars of the cash valuation Hereof, on all taxable
property of the City of 'ri CY7i to Falls, Texas, of tl�e character set
out un(e-r Section 1 of t',is Ordinance.
SECT10IT 4; There s1a all be levied and colt=cted for t`L,e
purpose of creating- a si.nkinE fund for the redemption of bonds
heretofore or hereafter leg-ally issued for t--1e purposes of a.c-
quiring parks and ce,reteries wit"nin the said lCity of t7ichita F, 1 1s
a.n annual ad valorem tax of one (1) cent on each one hundred doll�i,rs
of t -e cash valuation thereof on all taxable property of the City
of 1ichita Falls, Texas, of t_ie character set out above under Section

purpose of paying intere st on bonds heretofore or hereafter legally
issued for tl1e purpose of acquiring parks and cemeteries vvit:iin

hundred dollars of the cash valuation thereof on all taxable property
of tiie city of Wichita calls, Texans, of the c iaracter ;set out
under Section One of this Ordinance.

purpose of layin.: out,, opening-, constructin-~, repairing- and im-
provinu ti- e roads, bridg-es arid streets lt�it'J.in the limits of The
City of Wichita Falls, Texans, an annual ad_ valorem tax of fifteen
cents on each one 'Hundred dollars of the cash valuat-i on thereof on
all taxable property of Tlie Ci.t- of ''lichita Falls, Texas, of the
character set out under Section 1 of this Ordinance.

S"CTI07 7: There shall 'De levied and collected from
every person, firm, corporation, company or association of persons
follo�rin�; or pursuing any occupation taxable under the laws of
the State of Texas and the Ordinances of the City of Wichita -galls,
one half of the amount of tax set forth in said law in the otatute
boo7�s of the _'tate of Texas defining sE l occupations and prescrib-
ing a penalty for failure to pay said tax. Arid that any person,
fire., corporation, con.pany or association of persons who shall
follow or pursue any occupa.tiorj, c"wllin7 or yaro_^essic>n or d,o ary
act taxed under the provisions of said law first aforesaid, or who

or association of persons following any occupation so taxed, without
first ha.vingpaid the tax required by said law, shall on coiiviction
in the corpo: a"on court, or any other court having jurisdiction, be
fined in any sum not less t':1an the tax due nor r.iore than double the
Ponlount. Arid that any one prosecuted for the violation of said law
shall have the r.iaht to have his case dis-.^_i.ssed upon the -pa.yrent
of the tax and the accrued cost.
SECTIOI? TL,at t`-Iis Ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage and approval as t'-,e law directs.
