Ord 26 2/13/1890 ORDINANCE NO. XXVI AN ORDINANCE GIVING AND GRANTING TO THE WICHITA FALLS RAILWAY COMPANY RIGHT-OF-WAY OVER MICHIGAN AVENUE, MILL STREET, OHIO AVENUE, EIGHTEENTH (18TH) AND NINETEENTH (19TH) STREETS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS AT A REGULAR MEETING THEREOF, THERE BEING PRESENT OTIS T. BACON, MAYOR, R.E. HUFF, C.W. WORD, W.E. BROTHERS, J.C. ZEIGLER AND G.U. HUMPHREYS, ALL OF THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL. SECTION 1. That the Wichita Valley Railway Co. is hereby granted the exclusive right-of-way for as many as two (2) railroad tracks over Michigan Avenue, beginning at the point where said Michigan Avenue crosses the Fort Worth and Denver City Railway Company's track, and running North with said street for one half (1/2) mile, and also running South with said street to the intersection with Mill Street, and also over Mill Street for as many as two (2) tracks, beginning at the point where said Mill Street intersects the said Fort Worth and Denver City Railway Company's track, and running thence South with said street to its terminus at S.W. corner of Ballow and Granger's addition to the City of Wichita Falls, also the right-of-way for as many as two (2) railroad tracks over Ohio Avenue from its intersection with Mill Street on South to its terminus, as laid out by Barwise and Jalonic, and over said street as extended between between McBride's add- ition and Jalonick's addition, also over both Eighteenth and Nineteenth Streets, beginning at the intersection of both streets with Ohio Avenue, and running thence West with said streets to their termination. Also giving and granting to said Railway Company the right to con- struct upon either or all of said streets such sidings as may be needed to connect with said two railroad tracks on said street. Provided, however, that if said Wichita Valley Railroad Company shall fail to occupy said streets or so much of them as may be necessary for an outlet from the Fort Worth and Denver City Railway Company's track to the Southern limits of the City by January 1st, 1891, that the Council shall have the right at any time after said date to remove the privileges here tofore granted.
