WHEREAS, because of the rapid and unprecedented gr'bwth in the population and development of the Gity of Falls, there exists a necessity for the construction of Sanitary sewers, storm severs, strut improvements, the additions and extensions to the present construction of a system of water works to prVvide am4 ada- quate sunnly of wholesome Tra.ter and a rater wort,-s -olant for said City; The constructing of Public buildings, to-wit., an incinerator, and a Cite Hospital, and for the purpose of acquiring public parks, play grounds and cemeteries, and because of t_n_e lack of funds in the City Treasury of said City with vi&llah to construct said improvements, the Board of Aldermen deems it advisable to order an election to determine whether the qualified property taxpaying voters of the City of ichita Falls will authorize said Board to issue the bonds of said City for said purposes. THEREFORE) BE IT ORDAINED BY:; THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF ZlIG ITA FALLS, that an election be held within the limits of said. City on Tuesday, the 12th day of October, A. D. 1920, at which election there shall be submitted to the qualified voters of said City the following propositions : #2 FIRST: Shall the Board of Aldermen of the City of " ichita Falls be authorized to issue the bonds of said City in the amount of Seven Hundred Thousand 0700,000.00) Dollars, maturing serially, or otherwise, at such times as may be fixed by the Board of Aldermen, not to exceed forty (40 ) years from their date, and to bear interest at the rate of six (6%) per septum per annum, pole semi-annually, for the purpose of constructing a complete sanitary sewer system in and for said City, and to levy a tax on each one hundred dollars valuation of taxable property in said City, sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds and to create a sinking fund to redeem them at their maturity. SECOND: SHALL THE' BOARD OF ALDERMEN of the City of ichita Falls be authorized to issue the bonds of said City in the amount of Two Hundred Sixty Thousand ( �260,000.00) Dollars, maturing serially, or otherwise, at such times as may be fixed by the Board cf Aldermen, not to exceed forty years ffom their date, and to bear interest at the rate of six Wo) per centum per annum, payable semi-annually, for the purpose of constructing storm sevrers in and for said City, and to levy a tax on each one hundred dollars valuation of taxable property in said City, sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds and to create a sinking fund to redeem them at maturity. THIRD: SHALL 1:1HE Board of Aldermen of the City of , ichita Falls e authorized to issue the bonds of said Cit'r in the amount of Three Hundred and k1orty Thousand ($340,000.00) Dollars, maturing serially, or otherwise, at such times as may be fixed by the Board of Aldermen, not to exceed forty (40 ) years from their date, and to bear interest at the rate of six per centum (60) per annum, payable semi-annually, for the purpose of constructing permanent street improvements insaid City, and to levy a tax on each one hundred dollars valuation of taxable property in said city sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds and to create a sinking fund to redeem them at their maturity.
