WHEREAS, because of the rapid and unprecedented gr'bwth in
the population and development of the Gity of Falls, there
exists a necessity for the construction of Sanitary sewers, storm
severs, strut improvements, the additions and extensions to the
present construction of a system of water works to prVvide am4 ada-
quate sunnly of wholesome Tra.ter and a rater wort,-s -olant for said City;
The constructing of Public buildings, to-wit., an incinerator, and a
Cite Hospital, and for the purpose of acquiring public parks, play
grounds and cemeteries, and because of t_n_e lack of funds in the City
Treasury of said City with vi&llah to construct said improvements, the
Board of Aldermen deems it advisable to order an election to determine
whether the qualified property taxpaying voters of the City of ichita
Falls will authorize said Board to issue the bonds of said City
for said purposes.
THEREFORE) BE IT ORDAINED BY:; THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF ZlIG ITA FALLS, that an election be held within the limits
of said. City on Tuesday, the 12th day of October, A. D. 1920, at
which election there shall be submitted to the qualified voters of
said City the following propositions :

FIRST: Shall the Board of Aldermen of the City of " ichita
Falls be authorized to issue the bonds of said City in the amount
of Seven Hundred Thousand 0700,000.00) Dollars, maturing serially,
or otherwise, at such times as may be fixed by the Board of Aldermen,
not to exceed forty (40 ) years from their date, and to bear interest
at the rate of six (6%) per septum per annum, pole semi-annually,
for the purpose of constructing a complete sanitary sewer system
in and for said City, and to levy a tax on each one hundred dollars
valuation of taxable property in said City, sufficient to pay the
interest on said bonds and to create a sinking fund to redeem them
at their maturity.
SECOND: SHALL THE' BOARD OF ALDERMEN of the City of ichita
Falls be authorized to issue the bonds of said City in the amount
of Two Hundred Sixty Thousand ( �260,000.00) Dollars, maturing serially,
or otherwise, at such times as may be fixed by the Board cf Aldermen,
not to exceed forty years ffom their date, and to bear interest at
the rate of six Wo) per centum per annum, payable semi-annually,
for the purpose of constructing storm sevrers in and for said City,
and to levy a tax on each one hundred dollars valuation of taxable
property in said City, sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds
and to create a sinking fund to redeem them at maturity.
THIRD: SHALL 1:1HE Board of Aldermen of the City of , ichita
Falls e authorized to issue the bonds of said Cit'r in the amount of
Three Hundred and k1orty Thousand ($340,000.00) Dollars, maturing
serially, or otherwise, at such times as may be fixed by the Board
of Aldermen, not to exceed forty (40 ) years from their date, and to
bear interest at the rate of six per centum (60) per annum, payable
semi-annually, for the purpose of constructing permanent street
improvements insaid City, and to levy a tax on each one hundred
dollars valuation of taxable property in said city sufficient to
pay the interest on said bonds and to create a sinking fund to redeem
them at their maturity.
FOURTH: Shall the Board of Aldermen of the City of ':' ichita
Falls be authorized to issue the bonds of said City in the amount
of Two Hundred Thousand (42001000,00) Dollars, maturing serially,
or otherwise, at such times as may be fixed by the Board of Aldermen,
not to exce =d forty (40 ) years from their date, and to bear interest
at the rate of six per centum (60) per annum, payable semi-Annually,
for the purpose of constructing improvements- and extensions to the
present system of water works to provide adequate and available
water supply and plant for said City, and to levy a tax on each one
hundred dollars valuation of taxable property in said City sufficient
to pay the interest on said bonds and t.o create a sinking fund to
redeem them at maturityl
FIFTH: Shall the Board of z'_ldermen of the City of 'aichita
Falls Fe-authorized to issue the bonds of said City in the amount
of Twenty Five Yh.ousand ( r25,000.0("; ) Dollars, maturing serially,
or otherwise, at such times as may be fixed by the Board of Aldermen,
not to exceed forty (40) years from their date, and to bear interest
at the race of six per centum (6%) per enn, m., payable semi-annually,
f6r the purpose of constructing a public building, to-wit, ar4 in-
cinerator, and to levy a tax on each one hundred dollars valuation
of taxable property in said City sufficient to pay the interest on
said bonds and to create a sinking fund to redeem them at maturity.
SIXTH: Shall the Board of Aldermen of the City of iichita
Falls be authorized to issue bonds of said City in the amount cf
Seventy live Thousand (,T",750000.00) Dollars, maturing serially, or
otherwise, at such times as may be fixed by the Board of Aldermen,
not to exceed forty (40) years from tb.etr date, and to bear interest
at the rate of six per centum (6%) per. annum, payable semi-annually,
for the purpose of constructing public buildings, to-wit, additions
to and repairs of the City Hospital, and to levy a tax on each one

hundred dollars valuation of taxable property in said City
sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds and to create
a sinking fund to redeem them at maturity.
S1aVE1TH: Shall the Bboard of Aldermen of the City of
`'1ichit.�aballs be authorized to issue bonds of said City in
the amount of Twenty Five Thousand (5j25,000,00 ) Dollars, ma-
turing serially, .or otherwise, at such times as may be fixed
by the Board. of Aldermen, not to exceed forty (40 ) years from
their date , and to bear interest at, the rate of six per eentum
(6%) per en num, payable semi-annually, for the purpose of acquiring
public parks, Play Grounds and Cemeteries, and to levy a tax on
each one hundred dollars valuation of taxable property in said
City sufficient to -oay the interest on said bonds and to create
a sinking fund to redeem them at maturity.
Said election shall be held at th.e City Hall, in the said
City, and at, the 'ic'nita County Courthouse in said `:cich-Ita
.Falls, Texas, and the following named persons are hereby appointed
the managers of said eledtion;

All voters living =east of Lamar Street and North of the liehita
River, and. ;>outh and East of the ichita Valley Railcjray Track
in said City shall vote at the Ci y -Pox; all voters living '' est
of Lamar Street in said City, shall vote at. the Courthouse box,
Said election shall be held under and in accordance with
the general election laws of the State of Texas Governing City
elections, and under the Charter of the City of `v;'ichita Falls, and
only qualifiedevoters who are property taxpayers of said City shall
be allowoto vote, and all voters voting at said election shall
have written or printed on their ballots the following words :
"FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS IN the amount of S IV �, Hundred
Thousand ( '700,000.00) Dollars, maturing aerially, or otherwise,
at such times as may be fixed by the Board of Aldermen, not to
exceed forty (40) years from their date, and to bear interest at
the rate of six per centum per annum, payable semi-annually, for
the purpose of constructing a complete sanitary sewer system in and
for said City, and FOR THE LEVY OP A TAX on each one hundred dollars
valuation of taxable property in said City sufficient to pay the
interest on said bonds and to erec-ate a sinking fund to redeem them
at their maturity.
"AGAINST THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS in the amount of Seven

those opposed to the issuance of each or eigher of said series of
bonds shall strike out the words "FOR THE IS`.UANCE OF BOYDS" etc.,
A Copy of this Ordinance, signed by the Mayor of said City, and
countersigned by the City Clerk, shall serve as a r)roper notice
of said election, and the Mayor of said City is directed to cause
notice of said election to be published in the 1ICHITA DAILY TIP.',ES,
a. newspaper of general circulation in 'lich.ita ounty, published in
the City of -ichita Falls in said County, for four consecutive wekks
next preceding the date of said election, the first publication
of w'r ich shall be more than thirty days preceding the date of
said election, and in addition thereto shall cause notice to said
election to be posted at, three public places within said City,
at least, thirty days prior to the date of said election.
The rapid. growth and development of the City of ': ichit,a Falls
and the preservation of the pub-lic health requiring the construc-
tion of an adequnte sanitary sewer system and the construction
of additions and extensions to the water works system and plant,

quiring the construction of the other permanent improvements herein
contemplated, create an emergency requiring the rulq,that
