RESOLUTION NO.
Resolution Indicating Council Support For A Request For Funding Of
Downtown Intersection Improvements From The Wichita Falls 4B
Sales Tax Corporation In The Amount Of $1,000,000
WHEREAS, City Council has adopted the Vision 20/20 Plan that advocates
improved pedestrian access and aesthetics in the downtown area; and
WHEREAS, City Council has also indicated this action to be a priority; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to enhance the economic base and investment
potential in the downtown area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to request Wichita Falls 4B Sales Tax
Corporation for funding in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000 for intersection
improvements at Eighth and Lamar, Eighth and Scott, and Eighth and Indiana Streets.
