AN ORDINANCE GIVING ii.10 GRANTING TO THE 1,1ICHITA FALLS
TRACTION COITANY, ITS SUCCESSORS, ASSIGNS AND LESSEES , TIE RIGHT
TO EXTEND, CONSTRUCT _�,IZ) OPERATE A STANDARD-GAUGE CAR LINE OR
LI1ES ON,OVER,ACROSS AND UPON TIZ FOLLOWING DESCRIBED AND NALYED
STREETS IN TIE, CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS , TO-WIT.-
BEGINNING AT A POINT i[HERE "G" AVENE INTERSECTS '1ITH BELL
STREET, THENCE IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION TO GIDDINGS STREET,
TII !JCE IN A NORTI MLY DIRECTION ON GIDDINGS TO THE INTERSECTION
OF "F" AVENUE.
PROVIDING THAT SAID TRACES SHALL BE LAID IN CONFORMITY
WITH THE FRANCHISE HERETOFORE GT,ANTED TO J,6A.Y 1v!P AND FRANK FELL
ON THE 27th DAY OF JANUARY, 190P, AND ALL OF THE AI.MDF:�NTS
THFRETO, AND THE PROVISIONS AND CONDITIONS OF SAID FRANCHISE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE: CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS , TEAS: -
THAT WHEREAS, On January 27 ,1909, the City Council of the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas, did by Ordinance No 108, grant to
J A Kemp and Frank Kell, their associates, successors and assigns,
a franchise to construct .and operate a street car line over and
along certain streets in the City of 'Y'lichita Falls, which fran-
chise and ordinance is here referrrecl to, and
WHEREAS, the said 4.A.Kemp and Frank Kell did thereafter
transder said franchise so granted to them by the said City of
Vlichita .Falls, to the dichita Falls Traction Company, a private
corporation organized under the laws of the State of Texas, and,
WHEREAS , the said `llichita Falls Traction Comi:)any, acting under
said Franchise and Ordinance, constructed the street car line
in the City of 'd`lichita Falls, Texas, and said franchise is now
in full force and effect by reason thereor, and
WHEREAS? Under the ,,terms of said Ordinance it was specified
that the said Traction Company should designate the streets on
which it desired to construct additional tracks and upon which
it desired to lay tracks, and,
1 HEREAS , said '~Wichita Falls Traction Company has asked per-
mission to extend its present street car tracks as follows,to-wit:
Beginning at a point where "G" Averse intersects with Bell
street, thence in an easterly direction to Giddings Street,
thence in a northerly direction on Giddings to the intersection
of- 'IF" Avenue.
iyow, THEREFORE, it is hereby ordered and. ordained by the
BOARD OF ALDEF.I:1EN of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, the said
Wichita Falls Traction Company be and the said Company is hereby
Sranted permission to extend, lay and construct a standard gauge
street car line or lines, on, over, across and upon the following
described and named streets in the said City of 'Xichita Falls,
Texas, to-wit: -
Be ginning at a point where '"G'" Avenue intersects with Bell
street, thence in an easterly direction to Giddings Street,
thence in a northerly direction on Giddings to the intersection
of "F" Avenue.
1. It is expressly provided that said car line or lines
shall be laid in conformity with the franchise herein-before
referred to, and all amendments thereto, granted to the said
J.A.Kemp and Frank Zell, on the 27th day ,of January, 1909, end
the same shall be laid in strict conformity thereto. All of
said. work shall be done under the supervision of the City Engineer ,
\0 1, of the said City. This franchise shall terminate with the original
franchise --herein referred to, of which this is made a part.

2. It is further expressly provided that the said Traction
Company shall restore and place in as good condition and state
of repair any and all streets as they are at the present time
that may be excavated, all at the sole cost and exhdnse of the
said Traction Company. And any and all pavements that may be
cut or excavated shall be replaced and restored to as good a
condition and state of repair as they were just prior to the
said excavation and all of said work shall be done under the
supervision of the City Engineer.
3. It is further expressly provided that this ordinance
carries provision of Ordinance No.257, repealing that part of
the original franchise No.108 and No.187, of the City -of Wichita
Falls, Texas.
4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.

on the day of ,1923, at the Council Chamber
in the Ll'organ Building, in the ity of Wichita Fells, Texas, at
which time and place anyone interested in the provisions and
terms of said ordinance may appear before the Board of Aldermen
and will be given a full and fair hearing as to any objections
or amendments that he may wish to raise or present,
