OR STAND MY PUBLIC SERVICE VEHICLE USED OT €REIATED FOR HIRE ON THE STREETS OF WICHITA FALLS ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF EIGHTH AND NINTH STREETS, JPROVIDING FOR A EENALTY AN7' AN EJERGL'NCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THS; BOARD OF ALDERi,'1?M OF THE CITY On 17 PHT_TA FALLS: Section 1. That it shall hereafter be unlawful for any Terson firm, or corporation operating or owning a public service car for hire, either a m,)tor vehicle or a horse drawn vehicle to park, stand or rank said vehicle on the following streets of the city of r7iehita Falls, to -wit ?n Eighth street East o:_ what is known as the Alley switch whici, switch intersects Block 177, of the original townsite of the City of Wichita Fails, Eighth street and lots Nos. 49596, k 7 of Block No. b16 the original townsite of the Cit; of TI?iahita Falls, said alleynruririing North ana South. On Ninth street east of the twenty five foot alley running North and South through blocks 177 and 181 o' the Original townsite of Wichita Fallo Texas. provided, however, it shall not be unlawful for said public service cars to unload vassengers on said above described streets,. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con- flict herewith are hereby expressly repaaled, provided however that this ordinance shall not apply to nor affect the terms of Ordinance No. 312, passed by tiie Board of Aldermen on the 7th day of October 1920, and entitled; AN ORDINME TO LICt'NSE, TAX AN" REGUI:ATE VEHICLES ENGAGED .IN THE TRANSFER OF BAGGAGE? FREIGHT, FURNITURE OR ANY C01- MC)DITY FOR HIRE ETC. Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation, their agents or employees violating any of the provisions of this ordinanceN shall be deetiied guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall b-, fined in any sum not less than Ten dollars nor more than Two hundred ($200.00) Dollars and each day during which such violation of this ordinance shall occur, shall constitute a separate and distinct offense. Sec. 4. vVhereas, the congested condition of said above described streets,which are located near the railway sta- tion in said city, creates a necessity and an emergency for the immediate passage of this ordinance and it is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and th4s ordiaance shall take effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor in accord- ance xith the provisions of the charter in such cases made and provided.
