Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Execute All Documents
Necessary To Apply For And Accept A Comprehensive Selective
Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Grant For Fiscal Year 2011
From The Texas Department Of Transportation
WHEREAS, the city of Wichita Falls is eligible for a Texas Department of
Transportation (TXDOT) Comprehensive Selective Traffic Enforcement Program
(STEP) grant in the amount of $99,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the City will use in-kind contributions to meet the required 10% local
match of $11,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the grant is to focus on three of the Traffic Safety
STEP elements of Occupant Protection, Speed, and Intersection Traffic Control.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute all documents necessary to apply for
and accept a Comprehensive Selective Traffic Enforcement Program Grant for Fiscal
Year 2011 from the Texas Department of Transportation.
