ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 372 PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF
TRASH AND GARBAGE AND FOR THE HAULING OF SAME, AND RE-
QUIRING ANYONE SO ENGAGED TO GET A PERMIT AND GIVE A
BOND, AND PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Section 6 of Ordinance No. 372
be amended to read as follows, to-wit: Any person,
firm, or corporation engaged in the removal of garbage,
ashes, rubbish, waste paper, rags, refuse matter,. manure,
or other waste material of any kind within the jurisdic-
tion of the City of Wichita Falls, shall before engaging
in such work obtain a permit from the Board of Aldermen
of said City, so to do, which permit , if granted by
said Board of Aldermen, shall be issued by the City Clerk
without charge , which permit shall be granted for a
period of one year , and upon condition that the applicant
shall agree and obligate himself, herself or itself , as
the case might be, to abide by and carry out all of the
Sanitary Rules and Regulations of the Health Department,
and Ordinances of the City, and in particular this
Ordinance, and shall give a Bond in the sum of One Thousand
($1000.00) Dollars, conditioned upon the faithful compliance
with the terms of this Ordinance, and all of the Rules,
Regulations, and Ordinances of the Health Department of the
city, and, further, that they will hold the City harmless
against any and all loss or losses or damages that may
arise or grow out of the removal of said garbage or waste
or miscellaneous waste or refuse, or the failure to remove
the same. The said Bond shall be payable to the City of

Wichita Fallst and shall be approved as to form by the
City Attorney, and in all other respects by the Mayor,
and it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or
corporation who has not secured such permit to engage
in such business , or to remove any vessels, pots, barrels,
cans or other receptacles provided for the deposit of
garbage, or other waste material, ashes, rubbish, waste
papers, rags, refuse matter, manure, or waste material
of any kind, or to in any manner interfere with any such
receptacle; provided, however, the provisions of this
Section shall not apply to the owner of such receptacle,
or to the owner or occupant of the premises on which the
same is located.
Any person, firm, or corporation violating any
of the terms of this Ordinance shall upon conviction be
fined in any sum not exceeding Two Hundred ($200.00)
Dollars.
All ordianances, or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
This Ordinance to take effect and be in full
force on and after October the first, 1924.
