AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE TRANSPORATION OF NITROGLYCERIN
GYLNOIN OIL, NITRALIUM, OR BLASTING OIL, OR NITRATED OILT
OR POWDER MIXED WITH ANYOF SUCH DIZ=OR,: FIBER SATURATED WITH
ANY SUCH ARTICLE OR SUBSTANCE, PROVIDING A PENALTY, DECLARING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS,
Section 1. That it shall hereafter be unlawful for any person,
firm or corporation to carry, convey or cause to be conveyed
or carried the substance or article known or designated as nitro-
glycerin, 81! g1$noiA"L9il, nitralium or blasting oil or nitrated
oil or powder mixed with any of such oil or fiber saturdted
with any such article or substance on the public street o g� µ' `'`

Section 2, Ahy person violating section one of this ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction in
the corporation court shall be fined in any sum of not less than
twenty five dollars not more than two hundred dollars.
Whereas, on account of the great demand for the pro-
tection of the public and property and the lives of the citizens
a,$$a nst the _hazards of explosions arising out of the transporation
of��nitroglyeerin, glynoin oil, nitralium' and blasting oiler and
nitrated oil and powder mixed with any of-such oil or fiber satur-
ated with any such articles or substance upon the city streets and
alleys; creates an emergency for the immediate reservation of the
public peace, and:;Qgfety, that the rule requiring ordinances to be
passed on three separate days be suspended and said ordinance
is hereby passed on one reading, and it is so ordained,
