AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE HOLZING OF AN
ELECTION IN THE CI'i'Y OF WICrITA FALLS,TEXAS FOR THE
PURPOSE OS SUBMIT1TING TO THE QFALIFIED VOTERS OF SAID
CITY WHO ARE PROPERTY TAX PAYERS TEKEIN A PROPOSITION
FOR THE ISSUATCE OF BONDS OF SAID CITY IN TOE ALOUNT OF
$375,000.00 FOR THE PURPOSE OF RAISING FUNDS TO PAY THE
COST JF EXTENDING ADD IMPROVING THE SA :ITARY SEWERAGE
SYSTER IN SAID CITY AID LEVYING A TAX ON ALL TAXABLE
PROPERTY IR SAIll CITY TO PAY THE PRINCIPAL AID INTEREST
OF SAID BONDS.
WHEREAS the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Wichita Falls deems it necessary and expedient to borrow
money on the credit of the City r in the sum of Three
hundred and Seventy-five Thousand ($375,000.00) Dollars,
and to secure the pa7nent thereof by the issuance of bonds
of s=id City in that amount for the purpose of raisin;
funds to pay the cost of extending and improving the
saintary sewerage system in and for said City
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED B' the Board of Aldermen
of the City of Wichita Falls,Texas :
11 That an election be hild in said City on the 10th
day of November,1925,at which election the following prop-
osition shall be submitted:
Shall the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita
Falls be authorized to issue the bonds of the City of
Wichita Falls in the sum of Three-hundred Seventy-five
thousand & no/100 ($375,000.00)Dollars to mature serially
in from one to forty years from the date thereof,beating
interest at the .rate of foup an? three-qudlers per centum
per annum payable semi-annually for the purpose of pnuviding
funds for the extension and improvement of the s_-nitary
sererage system in and for said City and to levy a tax suff-
icient to pay the igterest on s-id bonds as it accrues and
the principal thereof at maturity.
2 . The said election shall be held at the City Hall
and Wichita County Court House in the CKY of Wichita
Falls and shall be conducted by the following --gamed persons :

Voters living East of Lamar Street and Fortheast of
the Wichita River and Southeast of the Wichita Valley
Failway track in said city shall vote at the City Hall box;
all voters living West of Lamar Street in said city shall
vote at the Court House box.
3 . The said election shall be held in accorda_ce
with the General Election Lars and only qualified voters
who are property tax payers in said City shall be allowed
to vote .
4 . The ballots to be used at s .id election. shall con-
tian the proposition substartUlly as above set forth,
followed by the words "for the issuance of bonds" and
"against the issuance of tends': .
5. Notice of said election siiall be given bT7 the
Mayor bar publishing a copv of this ordinance th the
words 'Notice of Elections' Prefixed thereto F. days
next preceding the date of stt election in the Wichita
Falls Record TIews,a ewspaper published in said City.
6. That because of the unhealthful condition exist-
ing in the City of Wichita Falls,Texas ,due to not having
a complete sanitary sewerage system enlargers the health
of the citizens of staid City,creates an urment necessity
demanding and reauirin.g that the provisions of the City
Charter providil)F, for the reading; of ordinances on three
separate days and providing that ordinances shall not go
into effect until thirty days after passage be suspended
and the same are suspended and this ordinance is -passed
as an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in
force from a nd after its passage .
