WHERcAS the Board of Aldermen of the City of
Wichita Falls deems it necessary and expedient to borrow
money on the credit of the City in the sum of Seventy-five
Thousand ($75,000.00) Dollars and to secure the payment
thereof by the issuance of bonds of said City in that
amount for the purgose of raising funds to pay the cost
of constructing public buildings for housing fire apparatus
in and f or said City.
1''OW THEREFORE,be it ordained by the Board of Alder-
men of the City of Wichita Falls ,Texas :
1 . That an election be held in said City on the
loth day of i,Tovember 1925,at which election the following
proposition shall be submitted:
Shall the 3oa.rd of Aldermen of the City of
Wichita Falls be authorized to issue the bonds of the City*
of Wichita Falls in the sum of Seventy-five Thousand
(.$75,000.00) Dollars to mature serially in from one to
thirty years from the date thereof,bearing interest at
the rate of four and three-quarters per centum per arnum,
payable semi-a - nually,for the purpose of providing funds
for the construction ,T — blic buildings for nousing fire
appvvatus in and fo � said City,ard to levy a tax suff-
icient to pay the Interest on said bonds as it acrues and
the principal thereof at m=turity?
2. The said election shall be held at the City
Hall and in Wichita County Court House in. the City of
Wichita Falls _.nd shall be conducted by the following; named
persons :

Voters living East of Lamar Street and ?ortheast of
the Wichita River and Southeast of the Wichita Valley Rail-
way tvack in s.�:id City shall vote at the City Hall boX; all
voters livirg West of Lamar Street in said Cit�r shall vote
at the Court House .box .
3 . The said election shall be held in ac corda, ce
with the Gea.eral Election Laws and only qualifies voters
who ar,e property tax payers in said City s b.al l be allowed
to vote .
4. The ballots to be used at said election s!"all
contain the proposition substantially as above seb forth,
followed by the words "for the issuance of bonds"a_�c "against
the issuance of bonds ."
5. Notice of s- id election shall be liven by the
Mayor by publishing a copy of this ordinance w' th the
words "Notice of 'Election" prefixed thereto days
next preceding the date of said election in the Withita
Falls Record Flews ,a Newspaper published in said City.
6. That because of inadequate fire protection
now existing in the City of Wichita Falls ,due to not
having sudficiert numbbr of buildings for housing fire
apparatus endangering the property of the citizents of
said City,creates an urgent r-ecessity demandinp. and re-
quiring that the provisions of the City Charter providing
for the reading of the ordinances three separate days,and
providing that ordinances shall not go i---to effect until
thirty days after passage be suspended,an.d the same are
sus-oended,a -d this ordina -ce is passed as an emergency
measure and shall take effect and be enforced from and
after its passage .
