AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF li.'IC VITA FALLS, TEXAS AND
ANNEXING THE MAPFA IR PARK ADDITION TO
SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EMERGINCY
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of October , 1925, J.A.
Kemp , H.C. Welch , P.S.Richardson and J. A. Ke.rp,
Junior, being the owners of all of Kempfair
Park Addition and which is more fully described
by metes and bounds below, except one lot,
petitioned the Board of Aldermen to bring Kempfair
Park Addition into the city limits as provided
in Section 4 of the city charter of said city,
and whereas, on the 27th day of October , 1925,
W.E.McBroom, City Clerk, gave notice in the Record
News, a daily newspaper in said city, that on
November 2,1925, a public hearing would be held
in the basement of the -,2or;_--an building in the city
of Wichita Falls, Texas at 7: 30 O'clock at
which time and place any protest against the
annexation of the above territory would be given
due consideration,
AND 7THEREAS, no one appeared and protested against
the annexation of said territory, therefore;
BE IT ORDA UED BY THE BOARD CF ALDERMU�N OF THE
CIT Y OF IffICqITA FALLS , TEXAS;
SECTION 1: That from and after the passage of this
ordinance the following described property,known
and designated as Kempfair Park Addition, the plat
or which is hereby attached and marked Exhibit "All
for identification, all of said property being
situated in Wichita County, Texas, and described
more fully by metes and bounds as follows , to-wit;
"Beginning at a stake in the West line of
Arthur Street and on North line of Avenue
"X" , Vaich point is 2744.8 feet North and
559.3 feet East from the Southwest corner
of the Cyrus Eckman Survey; thence East
with the North line of said Avenue "X"
1580 feet to a stake in East line 01' Kemp
Boulevard, extending South; thence South
with East line of said Kemp Boulevard
1440 feet to the South line of Arizona
Avenue ; thence West with South line of
Arizona Avenue 1580 feet to stake in West
line of Arthur Street; thence North -with
West line of Arthur Street 1440 feet to
the place of beginning, containing 45*9
acres out of the Cyrus Eckman Survey "
shall be annexed to the City of Wichita Falls,Wichita
County, Texas and made a part of the City of Wichita
Falls , Texas.
AND `.'HE'_-?EAS, on account of this ordinance being
presented at the close of the year 1925 and it being
necessary to suspend the rules in order to have the
above property within the city limits by January
1st , 1926 for taxation purposes, an emergency is
# 2.
hereby declared and the rule requiring ordinances to
be read on three separate days be suspended and said
ordinance is hereby passed on one ready and is so
ordained.
