ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE WATER AND
SEWER FUND FOR PURPOSES OF FUNDING THE AMENDMENT OF
THE ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH CORLETT, PROBST
& BOYD, INC. /CAMP DRESSER & MCKEE FOR THE JASPER WATER
TREATMENT PLANT PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Council desires to use funds from the Water and Sewer Fund for
the amendment to engineering services contract for the Jasper Water Treatment Plant
Preliminary Engineering Study to evaluate potential water supply sources; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the Water and Sewer Fund must be appropriated by
Council so the funds can be used for the cited reason; and
WHEREAS, an urgent public necessity exists to amend this contract in a timely
manner, therefore the charter requirement delaying the effective date of this ordinance
for thirty days from date of passage is hereby suspended and this ordinance shall take
effect immediately upon passage.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the Water and Sewer Fund a
current amount of $22,000. These amounts are appropriated to operating accounts
550 - 8140 -77100 ($19,200) and 550 - 8115 -75010 ($2,800)
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
