AT STREET INTERSECTIONS `WHERE TRAFFIC
"STOP SIGNS" AR 'A DISPLAYED, PRO`TIDING A
PENALTY AND DECLARING AN EHIERG'INCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDER2l1EN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS ,TrXAS:
1. That hereafter drivers of
vehicles ,upon approaching any street intersection
where the traffic "Stop sign" is displayed,must
come to a complete stop before entering such street
intersect ions.
2. Any person violating Section
One of this ordinance shall be guilty of a mis-
demeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be
punished by a fine not exceeding Fifty Dollars.
The present crowded and congested
condition of the traffic on the streets and the
recklessness and carelessness in approaching street
intersections in said city, creates a dangerous
condition and menace to life and property, and
creates an emergency that the rule requiring ordi-
nances to be read on three separate days be suspended
and it is suspended and that this ordinance is
hereby passed at its final reading and one day' s
publication and it is so ordained.
