ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FY1999 -2000 GENERAL FUND BUDGET
TO TRANSFER APPROPRIATIONS FROM THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
TO THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT FOR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH
THE REORGANIZATION OF TWO TECHNICAL SUPPORT POSITIONS;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the FY1999 -00 General Fund Budget includes appropriations in the
Police Department for two computer support positions; and
WHEREAS, during the 1999 -00 fiscal year, an administrative decision was made
to transfer these two computer support positions to the Information Systems Division of
the Finance Department in an effort to centralize all of the City's computer support
services under one organization; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to transfer appropriations from the Police
Department's budget to the Finance Department's budget to cover the remaining salary
and benefit costs for the fiscal year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The FY1999 -2000 General Fund Budget is hereby amended to
transfer appropriations in the amount of $78,874 from the Police Department budget to
the Finance Department budget for this purpose.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
