AN ORDINANCE WAIVING SEC. 22- 1(A)(2) OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES TO PERMIT VEHICLES ON THE GRASS DURING A
MODEL AIRCRAFT EVENT BY THE WICHITA FALLS RC CLUB MAY 6,
2000 IN JAYCEE PARK; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls RC Club wishes to host it's 3' annual spring fling
fly in May 6, 2000 in Jaycee Park; and
WHEREAS, in order for their event to be more successful they request
permission for the participants to drive upon the grass to avoid carrying heavy materials
of their hobby.
WHEREAS, similar waivers have been granted with no problems being reported.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Sec. 22- 1(a)(2) of the Code of Ordinances is hereby waived to
permit participants' vehicles on the grass during a model aircraft event by the Wichita
Falls RC Club May 6, 2000 in Jaycee Park.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
