ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE WATER AND
SEWER FUND FOR PURPOSES OF FUNDING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A 12 -INCH WATER LINE EXTENSION AT THE INTERSECTION OF
AIRPORT DRIVE AND 1 -44; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, it is necessary to use funds from the Water and Sewer Fund for the
construction of a 12 -inch water line extension at the intersection of Airport Drive and I-
44 to serve ongoing development; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the Water and Sewer Fund must be appropriated by
Council so the funds can be used for the cited reason.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the Water and Sewer Fund a
current amount of $60,575. This amount is appropriated to operating account 550-
8125- 77250.
SECTION 2. Due to the fact that an urgent public necessity exists, the charter
requirement delaying the effective date of this ordinance for thirty days from date of
passage is hereby suspended and this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
passage.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
