Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Execute A Contract
With Siemens Industry, Inc. And Other pocuments Necessary To
Provide For The Rebuild Of Failing Cells And Subsequent Installation
Of Rebuilt Cells Within One Of The Variable Frequency Drives At
Lake Arrowhead, In The Amount Of $58,157.00
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls had budgeted for the rebuild of failing cells
and installation within one of the Variable Frequency Drives at Lake Arrowhead; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase the rebuild and installation
services from Siemens Industry, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this purchase is exempt from the state's
competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Texas Local Government Code § 252.022
because it is a procurement necessary to preserve or protect the public health or safety
of the municipality's residents and because it is a procurement of items that are
available from only one source.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with Siemens Industry,
Inc., and other documents necessary to provide for the rebuild of failing cells and
subsequent installation of rebuilt cells within one of the variable frequency drives at
Lake Arrowhead, in the amount of $58,157.00.
