ORDINANCE NO. 53 -006b
ORDINANCE REZONING 1218 37T" STREET, LOT 25, BLOCK 19,
HILLCREST ADDITION, FROM SINGLE FAMILY -2 TO GENERAL
COMMERCIAL ZONING; AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended rezoning 1218
371h Street, Lot 25, Block 19, Hillcrest Addition from Single Family -2 to General
Commercial Zoning; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission also acknowledged that this
rezoning created a need to amend the Land Use Plan, an element of the
Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems that the
proposed rezoning of the area hereafter described, and amending the Comprehensive
Plan to reflect this change, will be in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls Land Use Plan, an element of the
Comprehensive Plan for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas is hereby amended for 1218
371h Street, Lot 25, Block 19, Hillcrest Addition, Wichita Falls Texas. Said property is
shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "A." Said
property land use designation shall be changed from Low Density Residential to
Commercial.
SECTION 2. Said property being the same as described in Section 1, and
shown on Attachment "A" of this ordinance, is hereby rezoned from Single Family -2 to
General Commercial zoning.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
