Resolution authorizing the purchase of a Tennant M-M30
Sweeper/Scrubber through the U.S. General Services Administration
(GSA) Federal Acquisition Service from Tennant Sales and Service
Company in the amount of $60,421.63
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this purchase is exempt from competitive
bidding requirements pursuant to Texas Local Gov’t Code § 271.102(c), which
provides:
(c) A local government that purchases goods or services under this subchapter satisfies
any state law requiring the local government to seek competitive bids for the purchase of
the goods or services.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Tennant Sales and Service Company is
offering M-M30 Sweeper/Scrubbers through the U.S. General Service Administration
(GSA) Federal Acquisition Service and it is in the City’s best interest to purchase this
unit in accordance with the GSA Contract Terms.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase the
aforementioned Tennant M-M30 Sweeper/Scrubber from Tennant Sales and Service
Company through the U.S. General Service Administration (GSA) Federal Acquisition
Service, in the amount of $60,421.63.
