ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18, ARTICLE I OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES, BY AMENDING SECTION 18 -2, ADMINISTRATIVE
FEES FOR HEALTH CLINIC SERVICES, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO SET FEES FOR HEALTH CLINIC SERVICES AND MAKE
ANNUAL ADJUSTMENTS AS AUTHORIZED BY THE TEXAS
ADMINISTRATIVE CODE; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health District is affiliated
with the Texas Department of Health for the purpose of delivering personal health
services; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Health requires affiliated local health
departments to establish fee schedules for clinical services; and
WHEREAS, this fee schedule must be calculated annually based on revised
federal poverty guidelines; and
WHERES, the Texas Administrative Code provides authority for this amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Chapter 18, Article I, at Section 18 -2, Administrative Fees For
Health Clinic Services, is hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows.
"Sec. 18 -2, administrative fees for health clinic services.
The City Manager is hereby authorized to set fees for clinic services provided by
the Health Department and make annual adjustments as authorized by the Texas
Administrative Code."
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
