Ord 078-2000 7/18/2000ORDINANCE NO. =� = 2� 0 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 2 AT SECTION 2- 160.9, INCREASING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE CLEAN COMMUNITY COMMISSION FROM 7 TO 14; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. Chapter 2, at Section 2 -160.9 of the Code of Ordinances be amended so that such section shall read as follows: "Sec. 2- 160.9. Composition; term of members. "The commission shall be composed of 14 residents of the City of Wichita Falls, who shall be appointed by the City Council and who shall serve without pay. Two members shall be appointed from each of the five Council districts, and the other four members shall serve at- large. The commission members shall serve staggered terms, such terms ending on December 31. For the commission members first appointed, half of the Council district appointees and half of the at -large appointees shall have terms that expire on even - numbered years. The other half of the Commission members shall have terms that expire on odd - numbered years. Thereafter, all appointments shall be for a term of two years." SECTION 2. It is the intention of the City Council of the .City of Wichita Falls, Texas, that the provisions of this ordinance shall become a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and that sections of this ordinance may be renumbered or relettered to accomplish such intention. .r.E ar_�:�r.� fn:�r��ratr -:r- _r _ r - • ! i - r V if _ • ! .
