ORDINANCE MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND FOR ADDITIONAL GRANT REVENUE RECEIVED
FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT ACCEPTING SAME;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has received approval for additional grant
revenue from the Texas Department of Health; and
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls- Wichita County Public Health District and the
Texas Department of Health desire to enter into a contract to implement the provisions
of the Texas Department of Health Year 2000 Innovation Grant; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
adoption of the the 1999 -2000 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund
$50,000 for the Innovation Grant, and the City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with the Texas Department of Health for the Wichita Falls- Wichita County
Public Health District.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
