ORDINANCE WAIVING SEC. 22- 1(a)(2), 22- 1(a)(9) AND SEC. 22 -4 OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO PERMIT CERTAIN VEHICLES,
ANIMALS AND SIGNS, AND THE POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION
OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES DURING FALLS FEST IN LUCY PARK
SEPTEMBER 29 -30, 2000; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Falls Fest organization has requested permission to drive
vehicles on the park, post signs, sell beer and promote horse rides in Lucy Park during
their event September 29 -30, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the event is co- sponsored by the City of Wichita Falls; and
WHEREAS, no significant problems have been reported as a result of previous
waivers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Sec. 22- 1(a)(2), Sec. 22- 1(a)(9) and Sec. 22 -4 of the Code of
Ordinances are hereby waived to permit vehicles on the park, signs and horse rides in
the park and the possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages during Falls Fest
in Lucy Park September 29 -30, 2000.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
