ORDINANCE REZONING 2.13 ACRES OUT OF ABSTRACT 194, AT
THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF RATHGEBER ROAD AND HENRY S.
GRACE FREEWAY, FROM SINGLE FAMILY -2 TO GENERAL
COMMERCIAL ZONING AND AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE
LAND USE PLAN; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended rezoning 2.13
acres out of Abstract 194, at the southeast corner of Rathgeber Road and Henry S.
Grace Freeway, from Single Family -2 to General Commercial; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission acknowledged that conditions
in the proposed area have changed and recommended amending the Comprehensive
Land Use Plan, an element of the Comprehensive Plan, to conform to this rezoning;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems that the
proposed rezoning of the area hereafter described, and amending the Comprehensive
Plan to reflect this change, will be in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Land Use Plan, an element of the Comprehensive Plan for the
City of Wichita Falls, Texas is hereby amended for a tract of land being described as
2.13 acres out of Abstract 194, at the southeast corner of Rathgeber Road and Henry
S. Grace Freeway. Said property is shown on the attached map, incorporated in this
ordinance as Attachment "A." Said property land use designation in the
Comprehensive Plan shall be changed from Low Density Residential to Commercial.
SECTION 2. Said property being the same as described in Section 1 of this
ordinance is hereby rezoned from Single Family -2 to General Commercial Zoning.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
