AN ORDINANCE WAIVING DEMOLITION LIEN AND INTEREST
ON A PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1219 NORTH 10TH STREET,
ALSO KNOWN AS LOT 10, BLOCK 8, SCOTLAND ADDITION,
WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a demolition lien was filed on 1219 North 10th Street in 1997
due to the owner not properly maintaining the property; and
WHEREAS, a new doublewide mobile home has been placed on the lot
and has met all planning and zoning requirements; and
WHEREAS, the ownership of the property and the mobile home will be the
same, a viable interest in maintaining the property will be created;
WHEREAS, the property value has increased substantially and the lot is
no longer vacant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to waive the demolition lien
interest filed against the aforementioned property by the City of Wichita Falls
based upon ownership of said property being signed over to the owners of the
mobile home.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting
at which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
