ORDINANCE REZONING EIGHT (8) ACRES OUT OF THE H. & G. N. R.
R. CO., SURVEY NO. 39, ABSTRACT 16, FROM SINGLE FAMILY -2 (SF-
2) TO MULTI - FAMILY RESIDENTIAL (MFR) ZONING AND AMENDING
THE LAND USE PLAN; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended rezoning eight
(8) acres out of The H. & G. N. R. R. Co., Survey No. 39, Abstract 16, from Single
Family -2 (SF -2) to Multifamily Residential (MFR) zoning; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission also acknowledged that this
rezoning created a need to amend the Land Use Plan, an element of the
Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems that the
proposed rezoning of the area hereafter described, and amending the Comprehensive
Plan to reflect this change, will be in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City of Wichita Falls Land Use Plan, an element of the
Comprehensive Plan for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas is hereby amended for eight
(8) acres out of the H. & G. N. R. R. Co., Survey No. 39, Abstract 16, Wichita Falls
Texas. Said property is shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as
Attachment "A." Said property land use designation shall be changed from Low Density
Residential to High Density Residential.
SECTION 2. Said property being the same as described in Section 1, and
shown on Attachment "A" of this ordinance, is hereby rezoned from Single Family -2 to
Multifamily zoning.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
