Resolution Authorizing City Staff To Execute All Documents
Necessary To Purchase CASE Backhoe/Loader From Construction
Agricultural Supply Through Houston-Galveston Area Council
Purchasing Cooperative In The Amount Of $71,416.00
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this purchase is exempt from the State's
competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Texas Local Government Code §252.022,
which reads as follows:
This chapter does not apply to expenditures for. ..(12) personal
property sold .. under an interlocal contract for cooperative purchasing
administered by a regional planning commission established under
Chapter 391.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Construction Agricultural Supply is
offering this backhoe/loader through the Houston-Galveston Area Council Cooperative
Purchasing Program, and it is in the City's best interest to purchase this backhoe/loader
in accordance with the H-GAC Cooperative Purchasing Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff is authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase the
backhoe/loader from Construction Agricultural Supply, in the amount of $71,416.00
through the H-GAC Cooperative Purchasing Program.
