Resolution Approving Change Order No. 1 To The Contract For
Construction Of The Wichita Falls Police Department Firing
Range In The Amount Of $556,295.33
WHEREAS, on March 17, 2009, the City of Wichita Falls entered into a contract
for the construction of the Wichita Falls Police Department Firing Range with Electra
Construction in the amount of $3,146,833.62; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 will increase $556,295.33 from the contract for
a revised cost of $3,703,128.95; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this contract, purchases related thereto,
and change orders to said contract are procurements necessary to protect the public
health and safety of the City's residents and are thereby exempt from any requirements
for competitive bidding and are purchases of items otherwise exempt from competitive
bidding, including, but not limited to, purchases utilizing the Construction Manager at
Risk method of purchasing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute Change Order No. 1, which is
attached hereto and incorporated herein, in the amount of $556,295.33.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 19 day of January, 2010.
