AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE USE OF SCOTT AVENUE
IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS AS A COUNTY HIGHWAY; AUTHORA
IZING THE ERECTION OF A BRIDGE THEREON ACROSS THE WICHITA
RIVER: AND AGREEING TO MAINTAIN SAID STREET ,AS DEDICATED,
AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: Wichita County s hereby granted per—
mission and authority to use Scott Am nue as dedicated, in
the City of Wichita' Falls, Texas, as a County Highway.
SECTION 2: Wichita Coun is hereby authorized
to build and construct at its own xpense la bridge on Scott
Avenue in the City of Wichita Fal s across the Wichita
River where said River crosses N th Scott Avenue.
SECTION : The City f Wichita Falls shall keep
and maintain said Avenue, as de icated, as a public highway.
SECTION 4: The fact that the County Commissioners
Court of Wichita County is de ' rous of commencing at once
advertisement for bids for th construction of, said bridge,
and will not go forward with is program for the erection of said bridge until permissi n to use said Avenue as a
county highway has been secu ed, creates an emergency re—
quiring the suspension of th rule that ordinances be read
on three separate days and ' uch rule is hereby suspended,
and this ordinance sha_1 tak effect immediately upon its
passage and approval.
