ORDINANCE NO. _ -416
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON WASHING
THE WINDOWS AND MALLS, OR MAKING ANY REPAIRS ON ANY BUILDING
OVER AND ABOVE ANY SIDEWALK, STREET OR ALLEY,IN THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, SHALL PROVIDE HIMSELF WITH SUITABLE AND SAFE
LADDERS, SCAFFOLD, OR SAFETY BELT, SO AS TO PREVENT THE FALLING
OF SAID PERSON OR ANY MATERIALS BEING USED BY SAID PERSON UPON
THE SIDEWALKS , STREETS AND ALLEYS OF SAID CITY., AND PROVIDING
A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF W ICHI TA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION ONE: That it shall hereafter be unlawful
for any person to clean the walls, windows, or to repair any
building over and above the sidewalks, streets and alleys of
the City of Wichita Falls, withbut first providing himself with
suitable and safe ladders, scaffold or safety belt , so as 'to :pre-
vent the falling of said person or any materials being used by
said persons upon :the .sidewalks streets and alleys of said city.
SECTION TWO: That any person viol0in.g the pro-
visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a, misdemeanor and
upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed Two
Hundred Dollars.
