BE IT ORDAIIUED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS;
SECTION 1: That it shall hereafter be unlawful
fort' person, firm or corporation to erect or construct
any awnings on, over or across any sidewalk, street or alley
in the City of Wichita Falls, other than cloth awnings.
SECTION 2: That it shall hereafter be unlawful
for any person., firm or corporation to repair any awning
that may now be erected on, over or across any sidewalk,
street or alley in the City of Wichita Falls, except that
cloth awnings may be so repaired.
SECTION : What it is hereby made the duty of
any Person, firm or corporation that has erected or owns
an awning on, over or across any sidewalk, street or alley
in the City of Wichita Falls, to remove said awning when
for any reason it becomes a menace or dangerous to the
public and the persons using such sidewalks, streets or
alleys.
SECTION 4: That it is hereby made the duty of
the City Lngineer to inspect ail awnings within the City of
Wichita Falls, and notify the owners of such dangerous
awnings to remove same.
SECTIONS: Any person, firm or corporation,
their servants, agents or employees, violating any of the
provisions of` this ordinance, shall be guilty of a mis—
demeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not
exceeding Two Hundred ($200.uu) Dollars.
