AN ORDINANCE AMEXDING SECTION THIRTY-NINE OF
ORDINANCE NUMBER NINE FIFTY EIGHT (958) 2 PASSED AND APPROVED
ON THE 20TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, A. D. 1927, ENTITLED OAN ORDI-
NANCE REGULATING TRAVEL AND TRAFFIC UPON THE STREETS OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS: REGULATING THE USE OF SUCH
STREETS: REPEALING ALL ORDINAXCES !I CONFLICT HEREWITH , AND PRO-
VIDING PENALTIES. "
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITry_ FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Section 39 of Ordinance No. 958, passed and
approved on the 28th day of November, A. D. 1927, be , and the
same is hereby amended so as to hereafter read as follows:
"SECTION : Parking of unattended vehicles is
Prohibited in the following places:
In front of schools.
In front of places occupied by theatres.
In front of banks during banking hours.
In front of entrances and exits of hotels.
Within five feet of any fire hydrant or mail box.
In front of any building where there are public
gatherings.
By the exits and entrances of garages and fil-
ling stations. 4 ^
In front of the entrancelof any building 1,

stories or more in height.
On any bridge , viaduct, or the approach thereof.
In front of any public Or Private drive, or in
such manner as to block any driveway to a
Private residence, or to any place of
business using a driveway. "
SECTION I! .
The fact that there is no ordinance pro-
hibiting the parking of vehicles in Or in front of public
driveways, creates an emergency and public necessity, and the
rule requiring ordinances to be read on three several days
is hereby suspended, and this ordinance shall take effect
from and after its passage and approval.
