AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF CITY TAXES FOR THE
YEAR 1930 IN THREE EQUAL INSTALLMENTS: P-ROVIDII3G FOR PENALTIES
AND INTEREST ON DELINQUE- T TAXES F0`R SAID YEAR; AIJD DECLARING
AID EIMER GENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDEFUEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION l: That all taxes due th - City of Wichita:
Falls for the year 1930 are now due and payable and shall be
paid in full before August 1st , 1931.
SECTION 2: That at least one—third of the taxes
for the year 1930 owing to the City of Iffichita. Falls by any
person, firm or corporation, or against any property in the
.paid City of Wichita Falls, shall be raid before Mlay lst ,
1931; two—thirds shall be paid. before June 15th, 1931, and
all of said taxes shall be paid before August lst, 1931.
SECTION 3: That if one—third of said taxes are not
paid before May 1st , 1931 , all of such taxes shall become
delinquent and a penalty of four per cent shall be added and
collected by the tax collector; that if' two—ti-_irds of said
taxes ore not paid June 15th, 1931, then and in that

event an additional penalty of three per cent/shall be added
and collected; and in the event all ofmaaid taxes a are

before August lst, 1931 , teen an additional t nree -,per cent;
penalty shall attach and be collected by the tax collector.
SECTIC} i 4: That taxes for the year 1930 becoming, delin—
quent as above provided shall beau interest from t.ne respective
dates of delinquency to the date of their ;payment at the rate of
six per cent per annum.
SECTION 5: The fact that the charter of the City of
Wichi to Falls was amended by th, vote of the people on April
7tr_, 1931, authorizing the Board of Aldermen to provide for
the bayment of taxes for the year 1930 in not to exceed four
equal installments; and the further fact that the time is
snort in which to collect taxes for the said. yea.r,1930,
creates an emergency, and the rule requiring the reading
of ordinances on three several days is hereby suspended
and this ordinance is hereby passed as an emergency
measure and shall take effect from and after its passage
and approval.
