BE IT ORDAT TED BY THE BOARD OF ALD 'r : ' O TIC CITY OF ICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: Section 1, That the `.' ic'rita calls 'fraction Compan be, and it is hereby authorized to charge on its street cars and busses a fare of ten cents for each passenger (except school children) , provided, however, that, where as many as three tokens are purchased in ad- vance, said y-ichita malls Traction Company willsell such three tokens for twenty-five cents. Section 2. This ordinance shall continue in force for a period of three months from and after its final -passage and thereafter until and unless it shall be sooner repealed. Section ,, In view of the fact that for some months the =ichita Falls Traction Company has been operating its street cars and busses at a considerable loss and it is impossible for it to con- tinue to overate its street cars and busses under the prevailing fares, there is created an imperative public necessity that the rule requirinU that an ordinance be read on three several days be, and the same is here now, suspended and this ordinance shall take effect from and after its, passage. Gentlemen: -In entlemen: - In accordance with your request ofTDecember 7th, at first hearing regarding raise in rates of Flichita Falls Traction Company, we herewith hand you balance sheet as Of ivov4mber 30,1931. I assure you, and do hereby make oath that Wichita Falls Traction Company has not forwarded any money at all to any holding company or individual in any way what- soever at any time during the year of 1931. I further affirm that all receipts that have been taken in during the year have been spent for salaries and supplies for the operation of the Traction Company. Furthermore, there has not been any money paid as interest or set aside for depreciation during this year, but , for your information I will state that we have harouisian d to borrow money from North Texas Coach Company ansucnxas salariesa Power Company, to use for operating expenses, taxes, r,iaterisl, etc. Also, I guarantee that no money received as receipts of the Traction Company during the next year will be sent out of Wichita Fails to pay any managing fees, interest or (.,eprecia- tion accounts. I also guarantee further that all L:ioney taken in as receipts will be spent for salaries, power and maintenance of and if receipts justify, any money not the present eo,uipment , ui ment and needed for the above drill be spent for new eq p betterment of the service.
