AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 241, ENTITLED "AN ORDI-
NANCE REGULATING THE. SALE OF FRUITS, BERRIES, VEGETABLES AND OTHER
SIMILAR PRODUCTS, " PASSED AND APPROVED ON THE 1ST DAY OF r,,T^ CH,
A.D. 19179 SO THAT PLACES OF BUSINESS HANDLING FRUITS, BERRIES,
VEG_R,'TABLES AND OTHER SIMILAR PRODUCTS SHALL NOT BE REgUIRED TO KEEP
THEIR PLACES OF BUSINESS SCREENED OR USE ELECTRIC FANS IN LIEU
THEREOF BETIYEEN THE 1ST DAY OF NOVE14BER AND THE 15TH DAY OF 1A.RCH

WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Ordinance No. 241, passed and approved on the 1st day
of March, A.D. 1917, by adding thereto Section 7 A, which reads
as follows:
Section 7 A. "Provided that between the lst day of November
and the 15th day of :Larch of each and every year hereafter it shall
not be necessary for persons, firms, associations , or corporations
dealing in fruits, berries , vegetables and other similar products
to keep their places of business screened or to use fans in lieu
thereof aW as provided for in this Ordinance ; the other times dur-
ing the year this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effec �
as to screens ana fans. "
SECTION 2.
That the fact that screens and fans are unnecessary from
iiovember Lst to ialarch i5th of each year and the keeping of same
during that part of the year works a great hardship on dealers of
fruits, berries, vegetables and other similar products, creates
an emergency; and the rule requiring the reading of Ordinances on
three several days is hereby suspended and this Ordinance shall
take effec c from ana after its passage and approval.
